While the ACE Grand still checks every box on the list, we've changed a pair of things. We chose American-made Micarta for the rounded scales, and opted for nested liners and strong liner blocking. We kept the big, sturdy (titanium) backspacer for strength, but added a nice wire pocket clip for nice, comfortable deep carry. The Elmax steel blade was designed to be perfect for all-round use, and we've kept it exactly as it was in the GM5.
A high Saber Flat Grind makes this a strong but very effective slicer, and it Pronounced swedge provides a fine tip for penetration without losing strength at the tip.
